Hi. My name is Dr. Todd Nilson and I'm a practicing
physician in the suburbs of Salt Lake City, Utah. I
have a keen interest in health and wellness and in
particular, to things that we can do as individuals
to live better and healthier lives. I am also the
director of the Agel Professional Advisory Team and
I am grateful for this chance to share with you some
of my knowledge about Agel's initial four products.
Before I get into the technical aspects of the
products, I would like to discuss some of the
attributes that a product must have if it is to
survive in the marketplace. First of all, the
product must be unique. Those companies that are
category creators are the ones that go on to lead
the industry. Second, the products must be
effective. In short, they have to work. Third, the
products need to be consumable. And fourth, they
must have a broad market appeal. I am very happy to
say that Agel has products that are an exceptional
fit to all four of these criteria. Agel's products
are fantastic and I consider myself very fortunate
to be a part of this great company. I believe that
Agel is setting itself up to be the next giant in
the nutritional industry.
So, let's ask some important questions. What is so
unique about Agel? What is so unique about a gel
delivery system? Why is this delivery system better
than others? Well, there are a number of good
answers to these questions and I would like to
briefly touch on them in order to give you a better
understanding of what a remarkable thing we have
here in the Agel products.
First of all, what is so unique about Agel? Well
Agel has put nutritional supplements in a gel
suspension. They have introduced gelceuticals and
nobody has ever done that before. What is so
important about a gel delivery system for
nutritional supplements and why is this delivery
system better than others? There are three very
important factors that influence the benefit of
nutritional supplements. The first is the proper
timing of ingestion. Second is compliance with a
nutritional program. In other words, nutritional
supplements don't do much if they're just sitting on
the shelf without being consumed. Third is the
bio-availability of the nutrients. If your body
doesn't take up the nutrients, they will have no
affect. Because of these three factors, timing,
compliance and bio-availability, gel technology
represents a significant advance in the method of
delivery for vitamins, minerals and other important
food supplements.
Just think how much easier it will be for most
people to take their supplements now that they come
in a gel suspension. Many people before gelceuticals,
incuding myself, did not include in the health
benefits of supplements either because of a physical
inability or simply from a dislike of swallowing
pills. Gel suspension drastically facilitates the
ingestion of nutritional supplements and thus
enhances compliance with nutritional programs that
would otherwise go unheeded. It provides extreme
convenience and allows for optimal timing of
ingestion, which maximizes nutritional efficacy.
Vitamins and minerals have a maximum uptake if
consumed with food. With a portable gel pack on
hand, just think how easy it will be to carry it
with you to meals no matter where you are. Other
nutrients require a certain time period prior to
meals in order to reach maximum affect. With a gel
pack the optimal timing can be achieved no matter
what the circumstances.
Then there is the bio-availability of the nutrients.
Bio-availability simply means how much of the good
stuff actually makes it into the system to do its
thing. In gel suspension, the nutrients are just
sitting there waiting to be absorbed in the body.
They are not compressed under extreme pressures into
a tablet or capsule, but they are suspended in gel
in their natural state. This is not to say that gel
suspension makes these nutrients more available than
in all pills and tablets, but we can say that in a
gel suspension, the nutrients are immediately
available for absorption and may be more available
than many pills and capsules.
Why do we need to be taking supplements after all?
Well most of us are not getting enough essential
nutrients. We don't consume optimal amounts of the
vitamins and minerals necessary for good health and
chronic disease prevention through diet alone. In
our modern day of fast paced living, we are under a
great deal of stress and have become sedentary. Our
eating habits have deteriorated so that a large part
of our daily food intake consists of empty calories.
For many of us, frozen microwave dinners and take
out food have replaced our consumption of fresh
fruits and vegetables; therefore, we are not getting
the essential nutrients needed to keep our bodies
healthy and strong. These optimal nutrients support
our bodies in performing essential biochemical
processes and serve to help us grow, fight disease
and repair damaged tissue and cells. Without them we
become prone to disease and ill health. As we do
more to take care of ourselves, we will improve our
quality of life. After all, we all want to feel good
and have the energy to work hard and play hard.
Agel has come out with four initial products. The
first of the products is Agel Min, spelled M-I-N, as
in vitamin and minerals. This is our daily vitamins
and minerals gel. It is simply a supply of 100
percent of the recommended daily intake of essential
vitamins and up to 50 percent of the recommended
daily intake of essential minerals. We're not trying
to hype up a mega-vitamin pack or say that by taking
large doses of one vitamin or the other that we can
cure this disease or that. So what does the
scientific literature support? Well, in 2002 the
Journal of the American Medical Association included
an article that reached the conclusion that pregnant
women and the elderly should take supplements and,
in addition, implied that it might be prudent for
all adults to take vitamin supplements.
In addition, other peer review statements in the
scientific literature have come out advising all
American adults to take a daily multi-vitamin and
mineral supplement. Are they recommending mega-doses
of vitamins? No. They're simply recommending a
supplement containing moderate amounts of the
essential vitamins and minerals. In short, too much
of a good thing can be harmful; therefore, Agel's
formulation for a moderate dose of readily available
vitamins and minerals in a convenient gel pack is
ideal.
The second of Agel's products is called Agel Fit,
F-I-T, and this is the weight management gel. We all
know that being overweight is a common, frustrating
problem and it would be wonderful if there were a
magic pill that would melt away the extra pounds
without any physical effort. Unfortunately, there is
no such thing. Let's face it. Losing weight involves
a simple equation. We have to burn more calories
than we consume. Now this equation sounds easy, but
the execution of a reasonable diet combined with a
regular exercise program that is maintained over the
long-term is not always easy.
Therefore, many people trying to lose weight will
benefit from supplemental support as they face the
inevitable obstacles along the way. So that's where
Agel Fit comes in. This great tasting gel can help
play a role in this frustrating struggle without the
harmful affects of stimulants. The active ingredient
in Agel Fit is a well-studied, patent pending form
of HCA, hydroxyl citric acid, also called super
citramax. It comes from the fruit called garcinia

The fourth of Agel's initial four products is Agel
EXO, E-X-O, as in exotic fruits. It is a proprietary
exotic fruit antioxidant gel. Antioxidants are
substances that help prevent cellular damage in our
bodies. Our body has its own process of repair, but
with the stress of current lifestyles and increasing
amounts of pollutants in the environment, we may
need some extra help. Ideally we can get most of the
antioxidants we need by eating fruits and
vegetables, which are essentials of a healthy diet.
However, in today's fast-paced world, we sometimes
replace fresh fruits and vegetables with less than
ideal choices. Therefore, enhancing our less than
optimal diet with an exceptional antioxidant
